Talked quite naturally and listened to all I had to say and ask and was quite open with possible side effects etc. and I was told to contact at any time if I had any worries. Great.
I feel totally confident with treatment and any queries I may have in the future.
Very stressful time so keeping appointments on time as many delays and waiting caused increased anxiety levels. However after consultations felt better.
This was the initial meeting with Alistair and he came across very sympathetic with every aspect of my case, which is something I needed at the time.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, operated on then referred to Dr Alastair Thomson to work out my treatment plan. Right from the beginning I felt cared for and safe to trust his judgement. I received a course of FEC chemo followed by a course of radiotherapy and finally Herceptin - so quite a long course of treatment. During that time I was looked after wonderfully well by everyone without exception. Dr thomson is an amazing man who patiently answered any questions I had at my consultations and always made me feel he had time for me and that he cared. I was not afraid of having cancer with him looking after me. I could not have asked for any better care. I, and my husband, all of my family and friends are truly grateful to Dr Thomson and the fact that he gave me my life. We are a Christian family and I so I also thank God for Dr Thomson. Dr Thomson was extremely helpful and informative. The consultation was not rushed and every opportunity was given to ask questions and any concerns the patient had. All in all a more than satisfactory experience.
